SDUST is recruiting full-time professionals that can be employed at any time.

Ⅰ. Requirements

Applicants are required to have earned a PhD degree from a prestigious research institution or universities with high caliber publications in peer-reviewed journals, and possess a team spirit and proficiency in English or Chinese.

Ⅱ. Disciplines

Disciplines mainly include but are not limited to the following:

1. Energy Science

Mining engineering, safety science and engineering, surveying and mapping science and technology, geological resources and geological engineering, civil engineering, chemical engineering and technology, geology, mechanics, geography, environmental science and engineering, etc.

2. Artificial Intelligence

Control science and engineering, computer science and technology, systems science, electrical engineering, electronic science and technology, information and communication engineering, mathematics, statistics, physics, etc.

3. Advanced Manufacturing

Mechanical engineering, materials science and engineering, power engineering and engineering thermophysics, transportation engineering, shipbuilding and oceanography engineering, etc.  

4. Modern Management

Management science and engineering, law, applied economics, foreign languages and literature, business administration, art, etc.

Tenure track applicants will focus on: 1) Undergraduate teaching; 2. Independent scientific research.

A postdoctoral or research fellow is primarily engaged in scientific research.

Ⅲ.  Remuneration and Benefits

SDUST shall offer the recruited competitive payments marked by Chinese universities, which shall be determined according to the applicants’ research level and experience; as well as on-campus accommodation or housing subsidies. At the same time, SDUST shall provide a favorable research environment, boosting funds and revenue and experiment rooms.

If an applicant could obtain qualification recognition similar to that of "Taishan Scholar" in Shandong Province, remuneration standard will be raised in accordance with relevant policies.

Ⅳ.  A Profile of SDUST

SDUST, founded in 1951, is a prestigious featured high learning institution of Shandong Province, China. It is located in Qingdao, where the sailing events of the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games were held, with branch campuses in Jinan and Tai'an. SDUST offers a multi-disciplinary education of engineering, science, management, literature, law, economics, art and others with unique advantages and characteristics in energy science, artificial intelligence and advanced manufacturing. Currently, it has a faculty and staff of 3,150. 1184 of the 2,147 full-time teachers hold a doctorate degree. There are 310 professors and 643 associate professors. It enrolls more than 45,000 students, including 36,127 full-time undergraduate students and 9,049 graduate students. Enhancing its education internationalization, SDUST is committed to building a high-level application-oriented research university with distinctive features and leading engineering disciplines.
