Position Summary
The Manufacturing Reagent Specialist is responsible for material ordering, monitoring, assembling, and reagent/media preparation for GMP manufacturing activities in cellular immunotherapy area. This role is critical for supporting all GMP productions for clinical trials. The preferred candidate is suited through education and/or experience to rapidly contribute in a fast-paced GMP manufacturing activities. We are seeking engaged and talented individuals with the ability to communicate with vendors to ensure on time ordering/delivery of required materials and to adhere to SOPs for reagent / media preparations. The candidate must be well organized, detailed oriented, accurate, and timely when it comes to performing and documenting their own work and verifying the work of others. This role requires a self-starter, ability to work independently, understanding of departmental goals-working as a team to achieve those goals within set timelines. The successful candidate is expected to be an active team player as demonstrated by communicating with manufacturing associate, QA, and vendors, ensuring the work area and equipment are kept in a clean and orderly state, and forming productive relationships within the team as well as with associates from other areas.

Key Responsibilities include:
  • Ordering and monitoring of materials to be delivered on time and document setup/preparation.
  • Manage the assembling and staging of materials/samples that are being processed.
  • Application of aseptic techniques.
  • Perform reagent formulations and media preparation following established SOPs in cGMP facility.
  • Perform basic math and statistical calculations (unit conversions and statistics).
  • Perform housekeeping and area organization duties per assignments.
  • Perform a wide variety of computer-based tasks such as time reporting, on-line training, email, virtual meetings, inventory transactions, and summarizing data.


Qualifications
Basic education, experience and skills required for consideration:
  • Bachelor's degree in biological science or related field. Focus on biological and/or chemical sciences preferred.
  • Past experience working in a FDA and/or ISO regulated facility is highly desired.
  • Experience in Biotechnology or pharmaceutical industry experience preferred.
  • Knowledge and experience in the use of basic laboratory equipment (pH Meter, scientific glassware, scales), laboratory techniques (pipetting, diluting, measuring solids and liquids).
  • Computer skills (File organization, MS Office, Outlook, Teams, timekeeping, inventory management programs, etc.)
  • Fluent in English, spoken, written, reading.
  • Ability to lift to 50lbs.
