A postdoctoral scholar position is available to work on an R01-funded project for neuroinflammation or stroke. We investigate the beneficial role of early administration of drugs or stem cells in repairing brain tissue. Preferred candidates will be a Ph.D., M.D., or both with a relevant background and expertise. Successful candidates will benefit from the stimulating research environment for scientific growth and career development. Required techniques are small animal surgery, fluorescence/confocal microscopy, western blotting and relevant behavioral studies. Candidates must be proficient in data analysis and writing manuscripts for publications. The individual should have demonstrated leadership skills and the ability to supervise students and other members of the research team. Salary for this position will be commensurate with experience, expertise, and Tulane University guidelines.
