Faculty Position Specializing in Gene Therapy Boston Children’s Hospital (BCH) Rosamund Stone Zander Translational Neuroscience Center invites applications for a full-time faculty position in the field of gene-based therapies for the treatment of childhood neurological disorders. Appointments will be considered at the level of assistant or associate professor, depending on the qualifications of the applicant.

Selection will be based on excellence in research and the potential to maintain an outstanding research program. Successful applicants will have evidence of prior scholarly productivity and a strong publication record in one or more aspects of preclinical or clinical gene-based therapy, such as viral and non-viral mediated gene transfer, gene editing, oligonucleotide chemistry, virology, vectorology, bio-engineering, and translational neuroscience. The faculty member will also be affiliated with Gene Therapy Program at BCH.

BCH and Harvard Medical School have developed world class programs in neuroscience and gene therapy, and the successful applicant will be able to leverage these resources in developing a research program. The primary faculty appointment will be in a department at Harvard Medical School that provides the best scientific fit. Candidate will also have access to the resources of the Intellectual and Developmental Disorders Research Center (IDDRC) at BCH/HMS.
