KEY FUNCTIONS
Facility functions, equipment and Quality Control
Oversees daily function of flow facility, including, inventory, ordering and logging of supplies and reagents, quality assurance, billing, safety and ancillary office and administrative functions.
Operates, calibrates, maintains and troubleshoots analytical and
sorting flow cytometers.
Incorporate and ensures quality control program into the daily functions of the
Flow Facility.
Review results and make recommendations for improvements when appropriate.
Writes Standard Operating Procedures for all procedures being performed in the flow facility.
Maintain daily work schedule for Flow Cytometry Specialist to insure
that all work is completed in a timely manner.
Research Design Implementation and Data Analysis Interaction
Data and records management.
Troubleshoots and assists with experimental/protocol design.
Work with human blood, blood products and tissues.
Lab Development/Training
Works with all aspects of user interaction, support and education of core clients in the operations of the flow cytometry equipment for the development of independent users.
Performs competency testing to document training.
Ensures that new Flow Specialists are trained properly in techniques.
Attend continuing education programs.
EDUCATION
Required: Bachelor's degree.

Required: Four years of flow cytometry experience.
