The Department of Biological Sciences (DBS), Faculty of Science and the Infectious Diseases Translational Research Programme (ID TRP), Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, National University of Singapore (NUS), invite applications for a tenure track faculty position at the full Professor level in vector biology and infectious diseases. Candidates with an excellent publication track record in vector biology, especially in mosquito-arbovirus interactions, are encouraged to apply. The candidate is expected to lead the development of a highly competitive research program to establish a research centre in vector biology and will have many opportunities to collaborate with colleagues in NUS, Duke-NUS medical school and Temasek Life Science Laboratories.

The joint position will be at the Department of Biological Sciences and Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine. Both faculties conduct world-class research in the fields of cellular and developmental biology, structural biology and environmental sciences (http://www.dbs.nus.edu.sg/), and microbiology and immunology (https://medicine.nus.edu.sg/mbio/About-Us/Academic-Staff.html). More specifically, and relevant to arboviral diseases, we have strong expertise in mammalian host-virus interactions, and in structure and biochemistry of proteins from mosquito salivary glands.

Insectary facility is available for preparation of transgenic mosquitoes. Facilities and research support are world-class and the university (http://www.nus.edu.sg) and departments are internationally highly regarded.
