Postdoctoral position is available to study hematopoietic and vascular development and regeneration. We utilize an in vitro differentiation model of embryonic stem (ES) cells and early mouse embryos to address self-renewal, lineage commitment, and differentiation of the hematopoietic and vascular systems. We also utilize single-cell technologies, including RNA-seq, ATAC-seq, bar-coding, and lineage tracing. We hope to apply the findings to regenerative medicine and therapeutic interventions for hematopoietic and vascular diseases.

We are looking for a self-motivated, detail-oriented, and collaborative applicant who can efficiently work in a fast-paced environment. A high level of independence and the ability to think critically is expected. Interested applicants should have a Ph.D. or MD degree, a strong background in molecular biology, cell biology, embryonic stem cell research, epigenetics, or mouse genetics. Strong publication records are preferred.

Washington University School of Medicine provides an excellent collaborative research environment. Please send a cover letter, brief description of research experience and interests, curriculum vitae, and contact information for three references to Kyunghee Choi, Ph.D., Washington University School of Medicine Department of Pathology, 660 S. Euclid Ave, Campus Box 8118, St. Louis, MO 63110. Phone: 314-362-8716, email: kchoi@wustl.edu
