The Francis College of Engineering is searching for outstanding candidates to fill a full-time tenure-track, tenured, teaching, and visiting faculty position. The college includes 130 faculty members, 30% of whom are women, and has over 3,000 undergraduate and 1,000 graduate students. The University is located in the historic industrial city of Lowell, Massachusetts and serves the multicultural population of the Commonwealth. Minimum Qualifications (Required): 

  • Applicants must have earned a doctoral degree in Biomedical Engineering, or closely related disciplines

For tenure-track positions in Biomedical Engineering (BME), we seek candidates with research strengths in (a) medical devices with a priority on those working at the interface of engineering innovations and clinical translation (e.g., sensor development, wearables); (b) medical imaging, biomedical optics and biophotonics, microscopy, and/or sensor development.; (c) biomechanics. 

Candidates with experience in engineering education and design of effective and inclusive pedagogical approaches will be given strong consideration.
