Assistant Professor Medical Educator Track Dept of Pharmacology & Physiology
Georgetown University: Medical Center

Location: Washington, D.C.
Open Date: Mar 1, 2021
Deadline: Jun 15, 2021 at 11:59 PM Eastern Time

Description
The Georgetown University Medical Center Department of Pharmacology & Physiology is seeking qualified candidates for a full-time position at the level of Assistant Professor on the Medical Educator Track (non-tenure track). Appointments on the Medical Educator track are for faculty who are primarily responsible for teaching and contributing to the development and delivery of the Medical Center's medical and graduate education programs. This position would start Aug 1, 2021, and applicants should hold a Ph.D, M.D. or D.O. degree. This is an academic teaching and administrative position working with outstanding graduate and medical students. Candidates must demonstrate the ability to teach physiology in a medical center environment.

While participating in educational programs is the primary responsibility of an individual holding a Medical Educator track appointment, a Medical Educator track faculty member may occasionally participate in research and service.

The Department provides a highly supportive environment of mentorship and faculty development. Prospective candidates should upload the following documentation in support of their application:

Letter of interest

Personal statement including previous experience

Teaching evaluations (student [and peer], if available)

Teaching Portfolio, if available

Curriculum vitae

Please send the names, email addresses and phone numbers of three professional references.

Specific questions about the position can be addressed to Dr Adam Myers at myersa@georgetown.edu
