The University of Chicago: Biological Sciences Division: Department of Radiation and Cellular Oncology

Position Description

The University of Chicago's Department of Radiation and Cellular Oncology is searching for full-time tenure-track research faculty members at any rank. The focus of the appointees should be in chemical biology as it relates to cancer. If appropriate, joint appointments will be available with other academic departments and units including The Ben May Department for Cancer Research, The Department of Chemistry, The Committee on Cancer Biology and The University of Chicago Comprehensive Cancer Center.

We especially welcome applicants working on the frontiers of chemical biology who can envision and actualize a research program that develops novel approaches and/or applies cutting-edge technologies in new ways to solve problems related to the diagnosis, staging and/or treatment of cancer.

Other duties will include teaching and supervision of trainees and students. Academic rank and compensation (including a generous package of fringe benefits) are dependent upon qualifications.  Competitive research space and start-up funding will be available, as will the potential for interactions with our affiliates, Argonne National Laboratory and the Marine Biological Laboratory.

Applicants must have a doctoral degree or equivalent.

To be considered, those interested must apply through The University of Chicago‚ Academic Recruitment job board, which uses Interfolio to accept applications: http://apply.interfolio.com/84017. Applicants must upload: cover letter, CV including bibliography, research statement, and teaching statement. Review of applications ends when the positions are filled.
