Postdoctoral Research Opportunity:  Innate immunity or neuroimmunology

Oberst Lab, Dept. of Immunology, University of Washington, Seattle, WA, USA

The Oberst Lab at the University of Washington seeks motivated postdoctoral researchers. Our laboratory is broadly interested in programmed cell death in the context of inflammation and immunity. Specific funded projects for which we seek postdoctoral fellows include, but are not limited to:

  1. Studies of the regulation and dysregulation of endogenous RNA species and their roles in autoimmunity and cell death induction.
  2. Studies of neuronal and glial cell fate and function during neurotropic viral infection

Our group includes projects in additional areas, including tumor immunology, host-pathogen interactions in a variety of models, and immunometabolism; we therefore welcome applications from any motivated candidates with relevant interest, and look forward to discussing project ideas beyond those listed. Experience analyzing and interpreting RNAseq and scRNAseq datasets is also most welcome.

The successful applicant will join a diverse and well-funded research team studying host-pathogen interactions, cancer immunology and neuroimmunology. The Oberst Lab is located in the heart of beautiful Seattle, where team members enjoy the highly collaborative environment of the University of Washington’s Department of Immunology and the Seattle area’s thriving research community. Please see our website for more information: oberstlab.org/join-us
