The Department of Genetics at Stanford University invites applications to fill positioning at the Associate, and/or Full Professor level in the Non-Tenure Line (Teaching) in the MS Program in Human Genetics and Genetic Counseling. The position title (Assistant Director through Director), faculty rank (Associate or Full Professor), and salary will be commensurate with the qualifications and experience of the successful candidate(s).

The major criterion for appointment for faculty in the Non-Tenure Line (Teaching) is evidence of high-level performance as a teacher for whose special knowledge and pedagogical skills a programmatic need exists.

Although all areas of scholarship will be considered, we are particularly interested in candidates who have a M.S. or equivalent degree in genetic counseling and who have leadership experience and a record of achievement in developing, implementing and assessing innovative approaches for the education and training of genetic counseling students. Candidates should be highly collaborative and are expected to contribute to the educational and research missions of the department.
