Coordinator, Research Data

One of the largest multidisciplinary programs for lymphoma and myeloma in the U.S., the department includes 25 faculty members, 20 of whom see and treat patients. Our patients benefit from a team approach that includes our colleagues in radiology, surgery, radiation therapy, hematopathology, and stem cell transplantation, as well as clinical pharmacists, research and clinical nurses, social workers, and dietitians.

Job Responsibilities

Data capture and maintenance

Monitors toxicity and response to study agent and reports to proper source (ig; research nurse, physician investigator, sponsor as requested). Must be able to visually check records and communicate findings to proper source (ig; research nurse, physician investigator, sponsor as requested). Develops and maintains tracking systems for controlling flow for protocols, such as patient's visit or research samples or study documents. Enter required protocol data into designated data control system. Assist with protocol's data reports. This may also include assisting the Physician Investigator in projects for clinical trials presentation or publications as assigned. Other duties as assigned.

Sample collection, toxicity reporting and quality assurance

Assists in the management of research samples or data as needed. This includes working with many different departments. Ability to effectively communicate with these departments in order to collect data and prevent protocol deviations or violations. Assist in departmental duties Quality Assurance Rotation.

Patient and Monitor Interaction

Ability to manage flow of auditors and/or monitors for trials as assigned. This includes oversight of the monitor visit and assurance of the completion of auditor/monitor checklists. This requires a high level of professionalism as well as organizational skills. This may include managing appointments for the auditor and/or monitor.

Education Required: High school diploma or equivalent.

Education Preferred: Bachelor's degree

Experience Required: Two years of related experience. With preferred degree, no experience required.
