Staff Scientist Position: Cell Biology, in vivo physiology/pharmacology

A superb opportunity for a highly motivated, creative investigator capable of quickly learning new techniques to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary research team in the Center for Neuroscience and Regeneration Research, Yale School of Medicine, investigating the role of Na channels in hyperexcitability disorders including chemotherapy and neuropathic pain (see Chen et al. Brain 2020; Akin et al. Sci Adv, 2019; Dib-Hajj and Waxman Ann. Rev. Neurosci. 2019). MD, PhD, or MD/PhD degree and publications in physiology, pharmacology or cell biology are needed.

  • Experience in advanced cell biology approaches or small animal physiology and/or pharmacology is required.
  • Experience with primary neuronal cultures or neurons derived from iPSCs, live cell imaging in vitro or in vivo, experience with transgenic animals are desirable.
  • Rank will be commensurate with degree and experience.
  • Exceptionally well-trained scientists with a relevant master’s-level degree, 10+ years of relevant experience and publications may be considered.
