ROLE SUMMARY:

Reporting to the Vice President, Global Franchise Lead Hematology, the Global Hematology Senior Medical Director Multiple Myeloma (MM) is accountable for the development and execution of global medical affairs strategy in Multiple Myeloma, including evidence generation, communication, and global external engagement. The Global Hematology Senior Medical Director -MM will partner cross-functionally with medical teams, health and value functions, clinical development, legal, compliance and commercial teams to execute activities. The Global Hematology Senior Medical Director -MM will collaborate directly with country medical teams to understand major unmet medical needs and the HCP and patient perspective, regulatory and access dynamics at the country level and integrate needs and insights to co-create a global medical plan.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Global Hematology Senior Medical Director -MM will:
  • Demonstrate deep hematology expertise
  • Facilitate scientific engagement across a broad range of stakeholders to strengthen external understanding of the unmet need and medical value of Pfizer pipeline in Multiple Myeloma
  • Develop strategic evidence generation and dissemination plans
  • Lead or support the execution of evidence generation activities including independent research, clinical and research collaborations, and Pfizer non-interventional and interventional studies including post-hoc data generation
  • Lead internal data interpretation and alignment activities
  • Lead evidence dissemination and education activities including scientific publications and scientific exchange


QUALIFICATIONS:
  • PharmD/PhD
  • Strong clinical and disease knowledge in Multiple Myeloma and other hematological malignancies
  • Minimum of eight years experience in Medical Affairs required
  • Cross functional effectiveness
  • Leading effectively in a matrix
  • Proven track record of ability to work successfully with cross-functional colleagues in a matrix team setting across countries and internationally with diverse colleagues
  • Very strong communications and relationship building capacity and ability to listen, understand and integrate country and local needs
  • Fluency in written and spoken English required

  • Launch experience a plus
  • International experience a plus
  • Regulatory and/or clinical development experience a plus
