About the Role

Gilead Sciences is looking for a Docket Intern - Intellectual Property to work in a team environment within the IP group.

Specific Job Responsibilities:
  • Review & process e-mail, mailings, and correspondence related to patent matters from the United States Patent and Trademark Office, clients, foreign counsel and other foreign patent offices.
  • Maintenance of docket using a web-based docketing system.
  • Electronically save copies of documents.
  • Assist with other docketing related duties, reports and special projects, as necessary.


Knowledge, Experience and Skills:

  • Must have good attention to detail and competency in Microsoft Word, Microsoft Outlook and Excel.
  • Excellent verbal, written, interpersonal and telephone communication skills are required.
  • Ability to prioritize daily issues, tasks and projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to perform in a high paced, deadline intensive environment.
  • Must demonstrate good skills, depth and knowledge depending on area(s) of responsibility.
  • Enrolled in Bachelors, Master's program in Law related fields.
