Research Fellow-Kim Lab
Research Fellow-Kim Lab
Dana-Farber Cancer Institute
Postdoctoral research position in chemistry or chemical biology. The lab’s interests are in the exploration of molecular solutions for the treatment and imaging of cancer, development of new platforms for the identification of small molecule modulators of protein-protein interactions, and the development of new methods for protein functionalization.
Synthetic chemists work very closely with chemical and molecular biologists in designing, synthesizing, and assaying molecules for their intended biological effects. Synthetic chemistry work will involve very basic science involving methodological development of new chemical reactions and synthetic strategies, compound library synthesis for screening, as well as the functionalization of biologics. Biological work will involve tissue culture, running compound assays, and proteomics experiments. Candidates should have a strong background in relevant areas of chemistry or biology. For additional information see kimlab.dana-farber.org.
Ph.D. in organic chemistry, biochemistry, chemical biology, or other relevant fields.
