Position Summary
Under direct supervision, the Research Laboratory Aide performs a variety of duties and provides assistance within Research Department(s). Duties or tasks include but are not limited to: washing glassware, sterilizing equipment, replenishing supplies, recordkeeping, picking up and/or delivering specimens/supplies.

Duties or tasks include but are not limited to: washing glassware, sterilizing equipment, replenishing supplies, recordkeeping, picking up and/or delivering specimens/supplies.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Collects, washes, autoclave and cleans laboratory equipment and supplies such glassware, etc. in accordance with research department standards.
- Receives and distributes supplies to appropriate areas within Research Departments.
- Ensures proper labeling and pertinent information is obtained on request forms.
- When necessary ensures temperatures are at optimal levels for refrigerators, freezers, and other various equipment
Qualifications
Basic education, experience and skills required for consideration:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- No previous experience required
- Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to plan and carry out responsibilities with supervision
