Senior Manager - HR Program Management

Job Description

Specific Responsibilities and Skills

The Senior Manager, HR Program Management will manage the implementation and coordination of multiple employee programs and projects such as M&A integration, geographic expansion, HR technology, process improvement and employee engagement. This role requires knowledge of HR, an awareness of the interdependencies between HR processes and an understanding of how to implement HR programs across the function. This is a hands-on role that will be directly involved in building a great employee experience, driving culture change and building organizational capability to meet our strategic goals and the needs of patients. Creativity, data fluency, influencing and stakeholder management skills are critical, and the successful candidate will have a demonstrated track record of managing through ambiguity and successfully and efficiently delivering key outcomes through their teams.

Essential Duties and Job Functions
  • Adapt and apply project management methodologies and tools to design and deliver key HR projects and ensure they are rolled out to the business in a timely, well-coordinated and high-impact manner
  • Enhance the employee experience and successful adoption by applying end user empathy to HR projects and programs and advising teams on stakeholder and change management
  • Establish program governance, outcomes and measures, scope and recommend project resourcing. Organize teams, structure the work and set timelines through comprehensive project plans, and ensure timely deliverables, assessing risks and anticipating obstacles
  • Support teams and leaders to apply agile principles and mindsets, including problem definition, a learning orientation and prototyping and iterating solutions
  • Communicate proactively with stakeholders and teams to identify problems and create solutions
  • Apply process design and continuous improvement expertise on HR- and cross-functional projects


Knowledge, Experience and Skills
  • 8+ years of relevant experience and a BS/BA
  • 6+ years of relevant experience and an MS/MBA
  • Knowledge of HR programs and processes; previous experience as a HR Business Partner or Center of Excellence team member preferred
  • Experience must include leading HR- or employee-related programs/projects and experience with process design/continuous improvement
  • Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills are required. Must possess good facilitation and influencing skills
  • Proven track record in project management and managing change
  • Able to assess and prioritize conflicting business priorities, quickly resolve issues and address root causes while multi-tasking in a high-pressure environment
  • Able to lead by influence outside of hierarchy and build strong, collaborative relationships within and outside of HR
  • Able to thrive in ambiguity and facilitate teams through diverging as well as converging activities based on the needs and phase of the project
  • Fluency with agile principles, including customer empathy, problem definition and prototyping, and M&A experience preferred
