FACULTY POSITION IN GENETIC EPIDEMIOLOGY BOSTON UNIVERSITY SCHOOL OF MEDICINE

The Biomedical Genetics Division at Boston University School of Medicine (https://genetics.bumc.bu.edu) is inviting individuals with advanced training and experience in genetic epidemiology to apply for a faculty position at the assistant/associate/full professor level. The successful candidate will join a highly accomplished team of multidisciplinary researchers including several genetic epidemiologists and assume a leadership position on projects investigating the genetic basis of Alzheimer disease. The Division is particularly interested in persons capable of designing and executing analyses in large collaborative projects, and who have already established an independent research program. Active participation in mentoring graduate students and postdoctoral associates is also expected. The research environment is enhanced by state-of-the-art computing facilities (http://www.mghpcc.org/); the BU Molecular Genetics Core Facility housed within the Division; excellent graduate training programs in molecular medicine, bioinformatics, epidemiology and statistical genetics; large and accessible patient populations; renown programs including the Framingham Heart Study; and numerous opportunities for collaborative clinical and basic research (e.g., the Evans Center for Interdisciplinary Biomedical Research (https://www.bumc.bu.edu/evanscenteribr/)).

Applicants must have a Ph.D., M.D., or equivalent degree. Salary, rank, and start-up package will be commensurate with experience and expertise. Applicants should send a cover letter detailing experience and future interests, a curriculum vitae, and three letters of recommendation to Dr. Lindsay Farrer (farrer@bu.edu).
