Children's Hospital of Philadelphia and the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at the Perelman School of Medicine of the University of Pennsylvania seek candidates for an Assistant or Associate Professor position in the tenure track. The faculty search is in the general field of Computational Genomics and Medicine. We are particularly interested in candidates who creatively develop and apply computational approaches to drive biological discoveries and medical innovations, using large-scale data (e.g. genetic, multi-omic, and clinical) and harnessing cutting-edge technologies (e.g. single-cell, spatial, long-read). Computational biologists who incorporate wet lab research programs are also welcome to apply. Responsibilities include establishing and maintaining an independent, extramurally funded research program. Teaching and mentoring of graduate and medical students is an integral component of this position. The position is affiliated with the Center for Computational and Genomic Medicine at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP). CCGM is housed in the state-of-the-art Colket Translational Research Building.
