The College of Sciences at San Diego State University (SDSU) seeks to hire a tenure-track assistant professor to teach and mentor students in the Bioinformatics and Medical Informatics (BMI) program. The successful candidate will use computational analyses or modelling approaches to study biological questions. The candidate must have a PhD in a field within the Sciences related to Bioinformatics research, such as Biology, Chemistry, Computer Science, Computational Science, Mathematics or Statistics. The successful candidate is expected to develop a robust, extramurally-funded, independent research program and to teach and mentor undergraduate and graduate (M.S. and Ph.D.) students.
