The College of Science and Mathematics at Kennesaw State University invites applications for Chair of the Department of Ecology, Evolution, and Organismal Biology (EEOB), beginning July 1, 2021. The Chair is a member of the academic leadership team in the College of Science and Mathematics and is expected to advocate for EEOB with an open, and participatory administrative style.
The successful candidate must possess an earned doctorate (or equivalent) in Organismal Biology (or closely related field), and a distinguished record that merits appointment as a full professor with tenure in the EEOB department. Preference will be given to those candidates who can show: evidence of effective leadership; exceptional communication and interpersonal skills; an ability to work with faculty, staff, and students from diverse backgrounds; a record of scholarship that includes peer-reviewed publications and extramural funding; a record of excellence in teaching; and a demonstrated commitment to promoting inclusive excellence in teaching and research.
