A Bioinformatics Postdoctoral Researcher position is available now in the lab of Dr. Da Yang at the University of Pittsburgh. Highly motivated and creative applicants with a strong background in epigenomics or immunogenomics are encouraged to apply.

Dr. Da Yang’s research uses computational and experimental approaches to understand the molecular mechanisms of cancer therapy resistance and to develop novel approaches/markers for personalized cancer medicine. The pursuit of these goals has resulted in high-impact publications, a vibrant training environment, and the identification of novel biomarkers for cancer precision medicine and anti-cancer drug candidates (Cancer Cell, 2018; Nature Communications, 2018; and Science Advances, 2021). More information can be found at http://www.pages.pharmacy.pitt.edu/yang/.

The successful candidate will enjoy a stimulating multidisciplinary environment and training in our successful bioinformatics initiatives aimed at identifying therapeutic targets and predictive markers for cancer chemotherapy and immunotherapy from high-throughput genomics & clinical data. The individual will be responsible for the development of novel methodologies and tools to integrate multi-dimensional cancer genomics datasets, single-cell sequencing data, and patient survival data. In addition to a vibrant bioinformatics training environment, Dr. Da Yang’s lab has the capacity to perform wet-lab experiments using state-of-the-art in vivo and in vitro cancer models. These models will be essential to validate the bioinformatics discoveries and predictions.

The candidate must hold a Ph.D. or equivalent degree and have more than 3-year experience in a related field. Experience in epigenomics or immunogenomics is preferred but not required. Interested applicants should e-mail the CV and the name and contact information of at least 3 references to Dr. Da Yang (YangLabRecruit@gmail.com).
