A postdoctoral researcher position is available at the Zilkha Neurogenetic Institute / Keck School of Medicine at the University of Southern California in Los Angeles, CA. The appointee will study signaling mechanisms in complex brain disorders, using induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSCs), directly reprogrammed neurons and brain organoids models of human disease. Candidates with strong background in stem cell biology and neurodevelopment are encouraged to apply.  Experience in genome editing technologies is essential.  The candidate will join a multidisciplinary team and will be able to integrate a variety of assays, including MEAs, proteomics, protein tagging,  single cell assays, computational biology and patient-derived  iPSC models among others.   To learn more about our research and the environment please visit https://profiles.sc-ctsi.org/marcelo.cobagimenez#toc-id4, https://keck.usc.edu/zilkha/Applicants must have a Ph.D., preferably in molecular biology, stem cell biology, neuroscience, or a closely related field, and be within one year of completing graduate studies.
