The Ucar lab is seeking motivated computational scientists interested in studying how epigenomes of human immune cells change with age and diseases including COVID-19. We use diverse approaches in genomics, bioinformatics, systems biology and immunology to understand how epigenetic regulation of gene expression programs are disrupted by genetics and environment. We are seeking highly-motivated individuals who have prior experience with programming and genomic data analyses. More information can be found at: https://www.ucarlab.com/

Key Responsibilities:

•         Conduct genomic data analyses and build computational pipelines and methods when necessary.

•         Clearly and concisely conveys information verbally and in written form as manuscripts.

•         Attend lab meetings and present his/her work to the team.

Requirements:

•         Prior experience in conducting and publishing research. A PhD. in a quantitative field (Computer Science, Bioinformatics, Statistics, Applied Math). Recent PhDs or PhDs who are interested in changing disciplines are encouraged to apply. This is a full-time position eligible for retirement and health care benefits.
