Herbert M. Geller, PhD, Principal Investigator
A Postdoctoral Research position is available in the Laboratory of Developmental Neurobiology at NHLBI to understand the role of extracellular matrix molecules, especially proteoglycans, and their signaling mechanisms in neural development and regeneration.
Projects in the lab use both culture and animal models and take advantage of modern tools in cell and molecular biology, especially proteomics, genomics, and live cell and super-resolution and light sheet microscopy available in NHLBI core facilities, as well as laboratory expertise in glycobiology and neurobiology. The ideal candidate will be a recent (no more than 3 years post Ph.D.) or soon-to-be Ph.D. or M.D. with some experience in glycobiology, cell biology or neurobiology and an interest in studying neural development and regeneration. Salary is commensurate with research experience.
More detailed information on current projects and lab personnel is available at https://www.nhlbi.nih.gov/science/developmental-neurobiology
To apply, please send an e-mail describing your current research experience and long-term goals, a curriculum vitae and the names and contact information for three references to Dr. Herbert M. Geller, NHLBI, NIH at email@example.com.
