The Department of Molecular Biology at Princeton University seeks a Ph.D.-level scientist with expertise in Cryo-EM to fill a Biomolecular Electron Microscopist position. The successful candidate will join a vibrant, collaborative research community and will play a leading role in training and assisting users throughout the department in Cryo-EM and standard transmission electron microscopy. In this capacity, the Biomolecular Electron Microscopist will advise users on preparing proteins and grids, evaluating sample quality, and collecting, processing, and analyzing cryo-EM data. The successful candidate may also have the opportunity to collaborate with Princeton faculty on research related to structural biology and electron microscopy. All instruments, including two Titan Krios TEMs and an Aquilos cryo-FIB, are housed in the Imaging & Analysis Center (Princeton's largest core facility) and are maintained and operated by the Center's expert staff. The Biomolecular Electron Microscopist will hold the rank of Professional Specialist.
