Postdoctoral training immediately available in the Department of Physiology at UT Southwestern Medical Center. One focus of our research is to study the role and mechanism of codon usage in regulating gene expression and protein structure (Zhou et al., Nature, 2013; Yu et al., 2015 Mol. Cell; Fu et al., 2016 Genes & Dev; Zhou et al., 2016 PNAS). The other focus is to study the molecular and biochemical mechanism of eukaryotic circadian clocks (Xue et al., 2014 Nature, Liu et al., 2017 Mol. Cell; Liu et al., 2019 Nature Communications). Please see our lab web site (https://www.utsouthwestern.edu/labs/liu-yi/) for details of our research interests.
Candidates must have a Ph.D. degree. Background in molecular biology or biochemistry is required. Experience in genomics and bioinformatics is not required but is preferred.
