Highly motivated and hardworking individuals are sought to join the Earle A. Chiles Research Institute (EACRI) at Providence Cancer Institute as Postdoctoral fellows. The fellowships are intended to provide advanced research training in the field of immunotherapy. Fellowships are available in multiple research laboratories at the EACRI. The fellowships are ideal for recent PhD or MD/PhD graduates who have had training in immunology or tumor biology and want to apply their knowledge in preclinical cancer models and/or with patient samples. Candidates should be proficient in general lab skills, but previous formalized training in tumor immunology is not required. Funding for this position is for three to five years with the expectations that two to three manuscripts would be published during this time frame.
The Providence Cancer Institute has been at the forefront of immuno-oncology research and clinical care for the last 25 years. We offer world-class research and clinical facilities, access to cutting-edge clinical trials, a dedicated support staff and an environment that fosters collaboration between clinicians and scientists. Our Institute is committed to basic and translational research and has conducted many first-in-human clinical trials involving T-cell checkpoint and co-stimulatory antibodies, adoptive immunotherapy with neoantigen-specific and engineered T cells (TCRs and CAR), and novel combinations of radiation, oncolytic viral therapy and intratumoral approaches.
