As an Associate Scientist, you will perform biological discovery and development research within a major or significant therapeutic area or a sub-specialty (e.g. biochemistry, cell biology, molecular biology).

This role will provide YOU the opportunity to lead key activities to progress YOUR career. These responsibilities include some of the following:

  • Carefully executes and documents experiments/technical studies/tasks with minimal supervision, maintaining good scientific practice (GSP)
  • Participates in experimental planning by applying critical thinking, experience and scientific knowledge to the data analysis
  • Interprets results and communicates to his/her supervisor
  • Operates and maintains designated lab equipment and trains others as needed
  • Participates in project meetings, contributes detailed oral or written summaries of results



Why you?


Basic Qualifications:

We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals:
  • BS or MS in molecular biology, cell biology, virology, biochemistry, or other vaccinology-related discipline
  • BS degree with 5+ years of experience or MS with 2+ years in research and development, preferably including vaccine research in industrial, academic or government laboratories
  • Experience in the area of protein production including molecular biology OR protein expression systems OR protein purification and analytics
  • Experience with molecular biology (subcloning, DNA extraction), protein purification with tag-affinity column, common bioanalytical and biochemical assay execution (SDS-PAGE, Western blot, Octet assays etc.)


Preferred Qualifications:

If you have the following characteristics, it would be a plus:
  • Good communication skills
  • Good presentation skills, ability to collaborate in multiple project work streams
  • Ability to efficiently manage uncertainty, changes in priorities and timelines
  • Hands-on experience on mammalian cell culture, transient transfection, or high throughput techniques would be an advantage
