Major Responsibilities

• Develop and build the strategic vision for Gilead China in collaboration with China Leadership Team, especially contribute as a subject matter expert to educate the team about China's overall political, culture and economic environment for better decision making.
• Establish and execute a best-in-class government affairs strategy ensuring strategic partnerships with relevant Chinese government departments in order to promote a healthy Gilead corporate image and support product access.
• Work closely with local leadership team and global government affairs to continuously transfer best practices and ensure strategic alignment.
• Maintain and develop the communication and cooperation relationship with all levels of government and public service agencies.
• Develop and lead Gilead's strategy to engage and leverage trade associations with a specific focus on RDPAC.
• Partner with other cross-functional teams (e.g.: Market Access, Commercial,, Medical, Public Affairs, Business Conduct, etc.) to synergize Gilead China business strategies and drive business growth.
• Fully embody the support and cooperation of company toward China's Healthcare reform.
• Work with reputable third parties such as Key Opinion Leaders, Chambers of Commerce, US Embassy etc to promote interests of gilead

Ideal Experience

• 10+ years of progressively senior level experience in government relations and corporate affairs with last 5 years in leadership role
• Strong understanding of China political environment and China pharmaceutical industry market status
• Experience to successfully work in a matrix organization and influence others to gain consensus while driving to decisions and actions
• Bachelor above degree, MBA preferred
• Fluent in English
