The Manager Business Operations/Project Manager will provide project management support for the REMS program for Belantamab Mafodotin also including:

  • Support day-to-day operations for REMS, including developing communications and agendas, scheduling and facilitating meetings, developing and distributing meeting minutes, driving the timely execution of actions, and ensuring compliance.
  • Conduct project resource planning, facilitate tracking of resources, and provide deliverables to key stakeholders for the Risk Evaluation and Mitigation Strategy program.
  • Ensure relevant, proactive and timely communication around REMS execution to applicable global, regional, and local stakeholders; ensure that project planning information is accurate and up to date in corporate systems used to manage and report progress.
  • Facilitate partnership across business units and functional lines including Global Oncology Medical and Commercial brand teams to ensure deliverables are aligned and optimized and requests from partners are appropriately directed and resolved by Medical.
  • Manage the Third-Party Outsourcing process for REMS activities that need to be outsourced and ensure that the contracting governance process is followed for all engagements with 3rd parties, including the development and implementation of third-party oversight plans.
  • Lead, coordinate, enable or participate in ad-hoc operational or strategic projects and assignments, as needed.

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Minimum of 3 (BA, BS), 2 (MS), or 1-2 (PhD, PharmD) years of experience in pharmaceutical industry or health-related fields.
  • Demonstrated high level of strategic, business operations and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize tasks, meet strict and sometimes conflicting deadlines, accurately update multiple trackers, and keep stakeholders informed of project status and any risks or issues impacting timelines or deliverables.
  • Excellent organizational, planning and business acumen skills and ability to operate effectively in a multicultural, matrix organization where the workload requires balancing multiple responsibilities and workstreams simultaneously and working across boundaries and geographies effectively.
  • Solid problem-solving and analytical skills with willingness and ability to detect process gaps, challenge assumptions, and drive change and improvement.
  • Capable of navigating complex internal processes.
  • Ability to work in a team environment under high pressure situations.
  • Excellent interpersonal and written and communication skills, especially when communicating with External Experts and vendors.
  • Proven ability to interpret and prioritize customer needs and strong influencing and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to manage and oversee a scientific agency.
  • A proactive, dependable self-starter who takes initiative and is results oriented and meticulously detail oriented.
  • Deep understanding of the pharmaceutical/biologicals Medical Affairs activity; understanding of the lifecycle of development & commercialization.
  • Mastery of project management skills with the ability to lead through change and independently lead multiple large projects simultaneously.
  • Strong strategic and implementation skills.
  • Ability to simplify complex concepts and communicate to diverse audiences.
  • Ability to produce concise and simple summaries of concepts and solutions.
  • Ability to build strong business relationships across various departments within GSK.
  • Proven leadership skills working with Global and local matrix teams.


Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience working in life sciences & oncology.
  • PMP certification
  • Risk Evaluation and Mitigation Strategies experience (REMS)
