The USC Department of Surgery is recruiting a postdoctoral fellow with expertise in Immunology or Computational Biology. The fellow will assist in research studies under the direction of Dr. Juliet Emamaullee, an NIH-funded transplant surgeon-scientist. The fellow should have excellent writing and communication skills and be familiar with techniques such as single cell RNASeq, CyTOF, multi color flow cytometry, cell isolation, tissue culture, ELISA and RT-PCR. Experience working within computational biology platforms including R, Python and Cellprofiler, is highly desirable. The candidate will participate in a number of exciting translational research projects in the areas of transplant rejection, innate and adaptive immune responses, and immunologic tolerance.
Priority given to recent graduate applicants with PhD or applicants that are expected to graduate from an Immunology or Computational Biology PhD program. Also we expect applicants to have at least one or two first author immunology or computational biology related published articles.
Minimum Education: Recent graduate applicants with PhD or applicants that are expected to graduate from an Immunology or Computational Biology PhD program. Minimum Field of Expertise: One or Two first author immunology or computational biology related published articles.
