We are seeking a highly motivated analytical informatician to join the Discovery Analytical Sciences department at our suburban Philadelphia location. As part of the Analytical Informatics team you will work with the various units in Discovery Analytical and platforms across GSK's research units to deliver analytical information and informatics solutions to aid delivery of high-quality small molecules, from hit generation through late stage lead optimization. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, and able to help deliver the core mission of the group, while also seeking out and implementing novel informatics solutions that help advance the state of the art in drug discovery.The successful applicant will need a good level of understanding of modern software development tools as well as a background in chemistry and a working knowledge of analytical techniques.

Basic Qualifications:

We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals:
  • BS, MS or PhD in Chemistry or a related scientific field
  • Experience in modern software development
  • Exposure to analytical techniques, especially mass spectrometry and chromatography


Preferred Qualifications:

If you have the following characteristics, it would be a plus:
  • Prior industry experience
  • Experience programming in C# .Net
  • Understanding of relational databases
  • Experience in data analytics
  • Experience in interfacing with lab equipment
