TENURE TRACK ASSISTANT PROFESSOR, DEPARTMENT OF PHARMACEUTICAL SCIENCES

Division/Department Information

Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences, College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences located in Queens, has 36 full-time tenured and tenure-track faculty members with research interests in medicinal chemistry, toxicology, pharmacology, and industrial pharmacy/pharmaceutics (https://www.stjohns.edu/resources/places/pharmaceutical-sciences ). The Department offers both the M.S. and Ph.D. degrees. Modern instrumentation and AAALAC-accredited facilities are available.

Responsibilities

This is a tenure-track position with a twelve month contract. Primary focus of this position will be teaching undergraduate, graduate and professional degree courses including but not limited to Pathology, Histology, Pharmacology and Anatomy and Physiology. Familiarity with remote teaching will be a plus. Responsibilities will also include establishing an active research program that will attract external funding and mentoring students. All fields of Pharmacology, Pathology and Histology will be considered. An excellent startup package is available and a large fraction of the department's graduate students are supported by graduate assistantships, teaching fellowships and university fellowships.

Qualifications

An earned Ph.D. or M.D. degree with specialization in Pharmacology, Pathology, Histology or related area is required and post-doctoral experience is preferred.
