Faculty Position in Scientific Writer and Grant Developer

We are pleased to announce an opening for a scientific writer and grant development director affiliated with the Hollings Cancer Center, an NCI designated cancer center at the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston, South Carolina.

We are searching for a basic scientist who has had experience directing a research program and is well versed in grant writing and grant reviewing at the national level, equivalent to the National Institutes of Health or the National Science Foundation. Applicants must have a PhD with a strong record of research activities and peer reviewed publications and experience with collaborating with faculty peers. Cancer experience is preferred but not required. The applicant will be encouraged to integrate with cooperative working groups within our Hollings Cancer Center and play a strong role as a team member in developing programmatic proposals.

The Medical University of South Carolina is located in the charming city of Charleston, which maintains a unique blend of vibrant historical culture with a surging high-tech economy, and a balanced lifestyle that includes beautiful beaches and other outdoor activities. Charleston has been named the #1 US Small City by Conde Nast Traveler 2019 Readers' Choice Awards and is consistently given top honors as a most desirable place to live.

Interested candidates should send a copy of their curriculum vitae and cover letter to Tara Campbell at campbetb@musc.edu. The deadline to apply is March 15, 2021.
