Position Summary
We are currently looking for a staff scientist who will be a part of a translational science team for our CAR T cell clinical trials. Interact and collaborate with a team of researchers focused on developing T cell therapies in a translational research environment across multiple malignancy types.

Key Responsibilities include:

• Conduct basic molecular biology techniques, including cloning, plasmid and genomic DNA purification, PCR, quantitative PCR, Western blot, transient and stable transfection of mammalian cell lines, QC and correlative study for clinical samples.
• Develop new assays to interrogate correlative samples across multiple CAR T clinical trials.
• Must have demonstrable computer skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, Microsoft Access, etc., as well as skills in data management and analyses.

Qualifications
Basic education, experience and skills required for consideration:
• Ph.D. degree with at least 2-3 years research experience in molecular biology.
• The candidate will ideally have experience in the fields of immunology, immunotherapy and cancer biology, with demonstrated experience in CAR T design.
• Experience in primer design, cloning, qPCR and westerns is required.
• Experience in handling correlative samples and knowledge of GMP practices is highly preferred
• Experience in virus packaging and transfection, multiparameter flow cytometry, immunohistochemistry and/or gene expression profiling and bioinformatics is preferred.
• Ability to effectively lead a research team to successfully meet project goals.
• Ability to collaborate with diverse group of scientists involved in the correlative studies.
• Ability to design and execute laboratory experiments, critically interpret experimental results, and present data in a clear and concise manner.
• Ability to participate in the preparation of grant applications and scientific publications.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• A publication record in peer-reviewed scientific journals.
This position also requires meticulous attention to detail and accuracy in lab work as well as accurate record keeping and lab documentation
