Work Schedule: Thursday/Friday -11pm-7:30am & Saturday/Sunday 7pm - 7:30am
Ideal candidate will have healthcare facilities management experience with a diverse maintenance background and an electrical license.
The position is responsible for performing inspections of all PCPF-Main Campus fire and smoke door assemblies per regulatory compliance requirements (NFPA, CMS and Joint Commission standards).
Responsible for the safe maintenance, repair and/or replacement of plant equipment and systems to ensure efficiency and productivity. Supervise daily Preventative Maintenance (PM) and Workload of Craft and Maintenance Technicians
Supervise effective PM processes on all assigned infrastructure and utility systems to provide safe and reliable utility systems.
Oversee PM process and frequencies to improve productivity and effectiveness.
Ensure accurate information is inputted for Labor & Materials used on work completed for all A and PM work orders.
Ensure comments and status are completed in a timely manner on all work orders
Monitor service contracts and negotiates with vendors/contractors.
Plan and consult in designing and initiating repairs, remodeling and construction projects as requested or forecasted.
Support the operations and maintenance activities for MEP systems.
Maintain assigned operating budget within the acceptable +/- 2% variance.
Customer Response and JC Compliance Support. Communicates daily with customers to ensure quality service is provided to minimize callbacks.
Maintains inter-departmental relationships to maximize responsiveness to customer needs and demands.
Collaborate closely with other shifts and departments.
Provide lead support for the Environment of Care and Life Safety program and support all initiatives associated with Joint Commission readiness (Safety 365).
Departmental Representation:
Apply independent judgment and analysis to gather facts and determine the appropriate solutions based on past experience and departmental practices for internal and external divisional programs.
Coordinate, lead and participate in special projects.
Participate in task force and committee meetings.
Adhere and implement departmental policies involving institutional and divisional internal controls.
Coordinate and compiles educational materials on behalf of the department.
Workforce Management and Development Manage employee work load, document staff and team performance, and metrics management.
Effectively schedule work for the front line staff and supervise shift coverage and hand-off of backlog to subsequent shift supervisor.
Works closely with the Planner/Scheduler and WCC team.
Supervise work orders status, monitors staff and team members' performance, and manage assets assigned.
Ensures accurate information is posted on daily time sheets for all work.
Review metrics and meet performance expectations.
Provide input and assessment on hiring, evaluations and promotions.
Ensure employees complete all training and meet assigned goals.
Manage overtime to stay within guidelines.
Departmental Representation Employee is considered ESSENTIAL PERSONNEL for all emergency related events and agrees to fulfill the responsibilities associated with signing the agreement.
The employee may be expected to call in or respond to a call in emergency situations but is not eligible for on-call pay.
Required: High school diploma or equivalent. Five years of experience in one or more craft areas including three years lead/supervisory experience. Successful completion of the LEADing Self Accelerate program may substitute for one year of required supervisory or management experience.
