A Postdoctoral Position is available in Cancer Metabolism.
A postdoctoral position in cellular metabolism of ovarian cancer is available in the laboratory of Dr. Katherine Aird at the University of Pittsburgh and UPMC Hillman Cancer Center. These funded projects will focus on how metabolites affect the epigenome, DNA damage response, and/or microenvironment during ovarian tumorigenesis and progression. This research will integrate cellular and molecular biology of in vitro and in vivo models of ovarian cancer, metabolomics, and high throughput genomics, and will be executed through multi-disciplinary and cross-institutional collaborations. The Aird Lab is seeking a Postdoctoral Associate who has recently earned, or nearing completion of, a PhD degree in cellular and molecular biology or a related field. Necessary research skills include standard molecular and cellular biology techniques. Prior experience in cancer research is not required. In addition, the candidate should have outstanding critical thinking and problem-solving skills and excellent written and oral skills. Salary is commensurate with experience and based on current NIH guidelines.
