YOUR ROLE

  • The role of the TCS Engineer is to support PD in the development and evaluation of our newly developed products and/or to recommend products for new applications at customers, assist in the qualification of the products at the customer’s production line and assist with troubleshooting at customers on an as needed basis
  • The individual should ensure that the evaluated products function effectively in customer’s applications and processes

Key tasks:

  • Key contributor to the strategic direction of technological activities, gives in-depth on site key customer support for assigned product line
  • When assigned to ADP projects, needs to work together effectively and efficiently as First Customer to PD by evaluating the performance of developmental products, supports resolution of quality problems, support key electronics events (exhibitions, conferences, and seminars) by preparation and participation, contributes actively to a safe working environment
  • Provides training to Sales/Customers

YOUR SKILLS

  • Master Degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Physics, Electronics
  • Fluent in English, preferably also speaking German
  • Preferably hands-on experience within the electronic industry in a technical service or manufacturing role e.g. experience with circuit assembly / semiconductor production lines
  • Knowledge in application techniques like printing, dispensing, jetting, soldering or other material application techniques is an asset
  • Recognized industry expert in various processes, applications and product technologies for target markets and customers
  • Demonstrates expertise in area of specialization through publication in periodicals/trade journals and success with customers
  • Must be prepared to travel (30 % of time) throughout Europe and occasionally globally to customer and other facilities
  • Job requires short term assignment (6-9 months) at the Westerlo site in Belgium, after that the final job location is Dusseldorf, Germany
