Postdoctoral Research Fellow position in Allergy and Asthma
The Sean N. Parker Center for Allergy and Asthma Research at Stanford University School of Medicine is seeking to hire a postdoctoral research fellow. This position will lead basic translational research studies in immune mechanisms of food allergy development and tolerance conferred through oral immunotherapy. Techniques used in these studies include multi-parameter flow cytometry and cell sorting, mass cytometry data acquisition and analysis, single cell RNA sequencing, confocal microscopy and ex vivo cellular assays. This is a unique opportunity to be trained in a wide array of techniques in a growing area of mucosal immunology, which can serve as a platform for a career as an independent investigator or a lead investigator in industry.
Qualifications: Candidates must have a PhD or equivalent, be scientifically curious, highly motivated, intellectually committed and capable of working independently. Strong communication and writing skills are essential. Knowledge of computational analysis using Matlab, programming in R, Python would be a plus.
