The Department of Medicine at Brigham and Women’s Hospital invites outstanding scientists or physician-scientists for an Associate or Assistant Professor position within the Center for Data Sciences. Appointment at the rank of Associate or Assistant Professor at Harvard Medical School will be commensurate with experience, training, and achievement. The successful applicant will be considered for an appointment at the Broad Institute. The faculty member will be offered a competitive startup package to build an independent research program with a focus in the use of quantitative data-driven approaches to tackle challenges in biomedical research. The member will recruit talented post-docs and graduate students, and spearhead methodological and disease-oriented research. Candidates should have strong quantitative research or training. The successful candidate will also engage in teaching students and fellows in the laboratory and/or classroom. They will have access to world-class research facilities within HMS, the Broad Institute, and Brigham and Women’s Hospital.

The Center for Data Sciences is a unique collaboration between the Department of Medicine at BWH and the Broad Institute. The goal of the center is to foster interdisciplinary and quantitative disease-oriented research. The Center for Data Sciences currently includes four faculty members with interdisciplinary research program including expertise in statistical genetics, evolutionary genetics, functional genomics, and single cell analysis.
