The Position

This position is for a Senior Business Conduct Specialist, focussed on healthcare compliance training and communications within the pharmaceutical industry. The person will support in coordinating and executing effective communications to support a strong culture of compliance across the company. The role will also provide focused support on the healthcare compliance training needs for the Public Affairs team. The position will report to the global head for compliance training and communications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support in coordinating and executing effective healthcare compliance communications program, including develop compliance communications materials such as newsletters, online videos and company intranet (G.Net) articles in order to promote and foster a strong compliance culture across the company
  • Support the expansion of Business Conduct/Compliance champions programs across various departments and geographies
  • Collaborate with colleagues from Legal/Compliance to identify opportunities to improve communication of relevant information to Legal/Compliance colleagues, as well as other business functions
  • Coordinate and manage US compliance workshops/week activities, and support similar activities internationally
  • Coordinate, manage and enhance the presence of the Ethics & Compliance Site on the intranet (G.Net)
  • Collaborate with the Centre of Excellence and Legal Operations on creating a new Legal page on the intranet (G.Net)
  • Explore and generate creative methods for compliance communications to enhance Gilead's compliance minded environment
  • Work closely with Public Affairs to enhance the company's external facing compliance presence.
  • Track, measure, analyze and deliver reports on compliance communications efforts
  • Manage change management communications to support other compliance pillars (Monitoring, Systems & Transparency, Policies)
  • Partner with relevant stakeholders across Legal teams including GTAL, International Legal, ABAC team and various business functions to identify and define training needs for Public Affairs and assist as needed in other Training & Communication team tasks
  • Incorporate motivating, creative, and interactive training techniques to enhance the training experience, in an effort to maximize learning and retention, for both business partners (Public Affairs team) and legal and compliance colleagues.
  • Provide training and communications guidance in response to compliance questions from various teams, including the Public Affairs team


Knowledge, Experience & Skills
  • Bachelor's degree in communications or journalism
  • At least 3 years of experience working in a similar role
  • Forward thinking with excellent written and verbal communications skills
  • Strong project management skills
  • Comfortable working independently or as part of a team
  • Proactive, self-motivated with the ability to meet deadlines
  • Knowledge and understanding of the compliance priorities
  • Knowledge of communications Tools
  • Ability to manage stakeholders and vendors to create content for compliance communications
