FACULTY POSITION

CENTER FOR IMMUNOLOGY AND INFECTIOUS DISEASES

The Center for Immunology and Infectious Diseases (https://ciid.ucdavis.edu) at the University of California, Davis seek applications for a full-time academic position at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor in the Ladder Rank and In-Residence Professor series. These positions are sponsored by the School of Medicine (https://health.ucdavis.edu/medschool). The successful candidate must have a PhD and/or MD and postdoctoral experience showing a track record of publications in high-quality journals. Applicants must have (or plan to establish) a research program focused on immunology or the host response to infection. Candidates are expected to establish and maintain an extramurally funded research program and to actively participate in the academic and service missions of the Center and wider University. Candidates must possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills and a demonstrated ability to work in a collegial team atmosphere.  Ample office and laboratory space is available (including BSL3 space), with state-of-the art facilities, instrumentation, and administrative support. Center research and teaching programs interdigitate with other campus-wide programs and resources in the Schools of Medicine and Veterinary Medicine. The appointment will be in an appropriate academic department within the School of Medicine and will receive 0.5 FTE salary support and start-up funds. The remainder of the salary support is expected to be recovered through the candidate’s extramurally supported research program.  Review of applications will commence immediately until the position is filled.
