The Department of Molecular Biology, Cell Biology and Biochemistry at Brown University is seeking a Postdoctoral Research Associate to join the laboratory of Dr. Robbert Creton. The Postdoctoral Research Associate will take the lead on a new NIH-funded project focused on brain development and behavior, using zebrafish as a model system. The studies aim to provide a better understanding of basic biological mechanisms and to contribute to the prevention and treatment of various human disorders, including developmental brain disorders and Alzheimer’s disease. Opportunities for collaborative research are available in the Carney Institute for Brain Science, the Center to Advance Predictive Biology and the Center for Computation and Visualization. 

Required: 

• PhD in Developmental Biology, Neuroscience or related field 

Preferred: 

• Strong organizational, communication and writing skills 

• Strong publication record 

• Ability to work independently 

• Experience with imaging and image analysis 

• Experience with coding / programming 

• Experience with zebrafish or other animal model systems
