Assistant Professor, tenure-track in the Department of Genetics and Evolution
RESPONSIBILITIES: The Department of Genetics and Evolution at the University of Geneva offers a highly dynamic and stimulating research environment. It is internationally renowned for the quality of its research, which is interdisciplinary, associating genetics, development and evolution.
The Department is opening a position of Assistant Professor in the field of genetics, development and evolution. This is a full-time position. Duties include teaching at undergraduate and postgraduate levels, and the supervision of master and doctoral theses.
The successful candidate will develop a research program at the highest international level and secure external funding. We expect the use of the most advanced techniques to lead a creative and original research. The candidate may be recruited on a research theme currently developed by the department, but not necessarily.
REQUIREMENTS:
- PhD degree or equivalent. P
- Publications in high-ranked peer reviewed international journals.
- Teaching experience is appreciated.
STARTING DATE: June 1st, 2021 , or as agreed.
