Xiamen University of Technology (XMUT) is situated in the International Garden City, Xiamen. A public university born and growing simultaneously with Xiamen Special Economic Zone, XMUT is today a provincial first-tier university with global ambitions and reach. Located at the southeast coast of China, Xiamen is famous for its attractive seascape, traditional architecture, a pleasant climate and picturesque scenery. Despite its fame as a tourist city, this port city still maintains its charm as an industrial powerhouse and a hub city for innovation and entrepreneurship.

Selected into the construction plan of first-class universities and first-class disciplines (also named as Double First-Class Initiative) of Fujian Province, XMUT attaches great importance to its advantageous disciplines and academic strengths in Engineering, Science and Applied Arts. Altogether, XMUT offers 61 programs so designed to a student body of 21,000, including international students from more than 10 countries.

XMUT has a strong and diverse cohort of faculty members with established industry experience or overseas study/work experience to ensure that our students are exposed to an industry-informed learning environment with forefront knowledge and information from the industry and the world. XMUT enjoys over 1,200 remarkable faculty members, a few of which are professors or lecturers from universities outside China whose input facilitates the development and internationalization of our academic and research.
