Bridge to Faculty Postdoctoral Research Associate
The College of Pharmacy at the University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC) invites applications for a Bridge to Faculty Postdoctoral Research Associate position in the Department of Pharmacy Practice starting August 16, 2021.
Program Goals: The Bridge to the Faculty Postdoctoral Research Associate program seeks to advance diversity among our faculty by encouraging the recruitment, retention, and promotion of outstanding scholars from different backgrounds, with an emphasis on attracting individuals from groups who have been historically underrepresented in science. The goal of this program is to recruit, mentor, and support the transition of outstanding candidates from postdoctoral scholar assignments to research active, tenure track faculty members. In addition to mentorship within the Department of Pharmacy Practice, the Bridge to the Faculty Postdoctoral Research Associate will participate in a cohort-based mentoring experience through the Office of the Vice Provost for Diversity, where they will have the opportunity to meet other Bridge to the Faculty Scholars. Successful postdoctoral scholars, with department approval, will have the opportunity to transition to tenure track faculty starting in the 2023-2024 academic year.
