Tenure track assistant Professor toward associate Professor
in Immunopeptidomics and Antigen Discovery
within the Department of Oncology
The CHUV and UNIL are seeking to recruit a scientist with a highly recognized expertise in antigen discovery and proteogenomics-driven mass spectrometry based immunopeptidomics. The position will consist of running the Immunopeptidomics Unit in the Lausanne Branch of the Ludwig Institute for Cancer Research at UNIL/CHUV and the Center for Experimental Therapeutics (CTE), to support with advanced antigen discovery work the development of personalized cancer therapies.
- Run and supervise a research laboratory with activities focused on mass spectrometry and proteo-genomics driven antigen discovery, embracing both fundamental and translational research.
- Develop research activities on computational pipelines for prediction and prioritization of targets for cancer vaccines and T cell based therapies.
- Responsible the implementation of analytical and computational procedures in exploratory clinical trials following GCLP and ethics requirements as part of the clinical mission at the CTE
- Develop pre and postgraduate teaching activities on the biology of antigen processing and presentation and the application of immunopeptidomics and prediction pipelines for antigen discovery.
- PhD degree with world-class expertise in mass spectrometry based immunopeptidomics applied to cancer research.
- Outstanding research track record in immunopeptidomics, proteogenomics and discovery of novel cancer antigens.
- Expertise in development of innovative computational tools for antigen prediction and prioritization leveraging large-scale immunopeptidomics dataset
- Be able to demonstrate leadership in driving clinical applications and collaborations with national and international research groups
- Strong leader skills to run and oversee an interdisciplinary translational research laboratory group.
- Successful examples of clinical translation for cancer immunotherapy.
- Willingness to translate proteogenomics and immunopeptidomics research into clinical activities
- Experience of teaching immunopeptidomics and (neo) antigen discovery at an international level.
- Previous experience with setting up mass spectrometry lab – an advantage
- Experience in obtaining external competitive research grants
- High-quality publications in peer reviewed journals
- Strong communication skills
